The Formative Years: A Journey of Growth, Achievement, and Service My journey, which began with a relatively brief yet profoundly transformative schooling period from 2011 to 2016, laid the cornerstone for all that I have accomplished since. Entering hostel life for the first time, I found myself in an environment that was both challenging and enriching—one that nurtured independence, resilience, camaraderie, and an enduring commitment to holistic growth. Those years were far more than an academic experience; they were a period of self-discovery and development that shaped my personal and professional ethos. During this time, I immersed myself in a wide range of pursuits. Alongside academic excellence, I cultivated a deep interest in computer technology and accessibility tools—an engagement that not only expanded my technical competence but also sparked a lifelong passion for inclusive innovation. My involvement in athletics at the national level instilled discipline, perseverance, and teamwork, while my participation in musical and cultural activities broadened my creative perspective. Representing my school at various events and contributing to social initiatives further enriched my understanding of community and service. None of this would have been possible without the constant encouragement and support of my teachers and the dedicated school staff, who fostered an environment where curiosity and ambition could flourish. Following graduation, I pursued higher education at Hindu College, University of Delhi, completing both my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. Alongside my academic journey, I prepared diligently for a government position and simultaneously deepened my engagement with social service. As an active member of the National Service Scheme (NSS), I taught underprivileged children at Gandhi Ashram, a deeply fulfilling experience that reinforced my belief in education as an instrument of empowerment. My commitment to accessibility and inclusion found practical expression in my work with visually impaired students. Over the course of my college years, I trained approximately 150 students in computer literacy and digital tools, serving as a faculty member with organizations such as Help the Blind Foundation, Young Scholar Book Bank, and Samarthanam. I also volunteered as a computer instructor at Kirori Mal College and Daulat Ram College for three years, solidifying my dedication to bridging technological gaps for marginalized learners. This trajectory of service and leadership eventually led me to my current professional role as an Assistant Manager at the State Bank of India, where I continue to uphold the values of excellence, empathy, and commitment that have defined my journey. Today, while I take pride in my professional accomplishments, my dedication to community service remains unwavering. I currently serve as a Director of the Alumni Association of the Institute for the Blind, an organization that aspires to empower the next generation through mentorship and opportunity. Our vision is to guide our juniors—providing them with structured career pathways, exposure to diverse fields such as technology, music, sports, and cultural activities, and platforms for personal growth. By building strong networks and organizing meaningful events, we aim to transform our collective experience into actionable support for those following in our footsteps. What began as a journey of learning and achievement has now evolved into a mission of giving back—a conscious effort to honour the institution that shaped my identity. My commitment continues to be driven by the belief that true success lies not only in personal progress but also in empowering others to realize their fullest potential.
