Workshop on "Windows Accessibility for Low Vision"

Windows Accessibility for Low Vision

Enhancing Digital Efficiency in Windows.

This training marks a significant milestone, as it has been conducted at Institute for the Blind, Chandigarh for the first time with the support of EnAble India, Bengaluru. The need for such an initiative comes from a clear observation that many individuals with low vision are still unaware of the wide range of digital solutions, tools, and accessibility settings that can greatly improve their computer usage experience.

Recognizing this gap, EnAble India has designed this training not only to provide practical support, but also to serve as a platform for raising awareness. It is a proactive effort to reach beyond the boundaries of a conventional course, aiming to equip a larger group of people with the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about the tools and techniques that work best for them.

EnAble India’s mission is to break down the barriers to digital accessibility by spreading awareness and empowering participants. Through this training, we spark a shift in mindset—encouraging individuals with low vision to explore, adopt, and advocate for the accessibility features that can transform their digital lives.

This is more than just training—it's the beginning of a broader movement toward inclusivity, understanding, and independence. By starting at Institute for the Blind, Chandigarh on 21st and 22nd April 2025, we have planted the seeds for long-term impact within the low vision community and beyond.
